I feel completed!

Today i had the best day! :D

I received my long awaited Saiyuki Reload Volume 10 in english <3<3

I had already 2 copies (don't ask why two) of the japanese editions that i brought when i was in japan and have been anxiously awaiting news of bloody TokyoPop giving us the final volume.

I started hearing rumours they disbanded the series (1 volume to go!?) and was crushed but while randomly saiyuki window shopping on ebay found this little baby <3!

After i received that my smile was so wide i was surprized my face doesn't hurt, i found out when i return to melbourne i am going into my first prefrence for a team! I get to work with two really good friends who are going to help me to be come a senior at work this is fantastic! :D and even if i dont make it to senior i will truely enjoy working with them!

Lastly a customer i assited for the last month to try and hook up a phone and DSL connection was finally able to get online and gave me a great customer satisfaction survey!

I got back to Melbourne in two weeks, i can't wait to see my friends again but today i feel like i am really on track of things and will have alot to show for my time in perth when i get back!

For once, I beat you to something..

My whole Reload series IS Chuang Yi so my secretary picked it up for me..done reading that ages ago~ XP

well you live in the country its published in right? i ordered it 2 weeks ago and had to wait :P so when did u receive urs? i ordered mine 2 weeks ago i think thats pretty quick it was onyl recently realesed after all :P

Lucky you ! French version are only at the 8th volume ... So far I have Japanese, US and French copies ^_^, have same volumes in different language ahah

I don't get it. What's this Chuang Yi Publishing anyway? Is it really a licensed relase? I always read people saying their translation is more like a very bad fanjob.
I never read one of their works so maybe you can tell me if it's true or not.

I only have Japanese and English, but when veronicacode told me she had the italian version i was semi tempted to get it :P XD (why i dont know)

Some of their volumes are a little bit badly translated they are an offical translator as they translate into chinese and english, due to that i would say that english is not their first langage so sometimes so of the nicities are lost. but i have found with this volume in particular its very accurate.

in volume 6 where hakkai is speaking to gojyo on the bridge about having children he mentions that his young daughter will get woo'd by her uncle gojyo, in the chuang yi version they had Goku there instead XD LOL halirous typo XD

Didn't notice anything too painful this time. :) And from a collectors and a saiyukis obsessed persons point of view, its alot better than nothing, it means i can read reload completely without needing my pc which makes a big difference for me :) the actually printing quality of pics and book size is better then tokyopop too.

Oh I do understand, I'm the same, I love having different version of the same book ahah. Plus Italians already have the 4 Saiyuki Gaiden!

Yeah, no gaiden in english yet but i own all the japanese copies.

excuse me are you sure there is already volume 10 edition of chuang yi version of Saiyuki, coz its hard to look for one...

I already had 9 volumes of it, that I bought in a bookstore here in my country, do you bought that directly in singapore?

in my country I buy all manga from National Bookstore , they are co-partnered with Chuang Yi so I get it very cheap, the last time I bought volume 9 was a couple of months ago...

I see, yeah i have all of volumes 1-9 in tokyopop but have 5,6 and now 10 in Chuang Yi. There hard to find in australia i found volume 5,6 at an anime festval but it was the last time i saw them until now :Pi just happy i have volume ten but if tokyopop releases it i will buy theirs as well cause its more of a set.

thanks! They havent released gaiden in english yet, and reload hasn't had enough chapters to have a full manga yet either so u cannot buy it even in japan.

yeah so sad that there is no Gaiden but I am wishing that they also get Reload Blast....

and yeah I just noticed they just released this (vol10) version 17 days ago, I think its already here in my country...

I still hope that Tokyopop will finally publish the tenth volume cause all my other volumes are from TP too and their translation really isn't bad. But if they don't do maybe I'm going to buy this one here. After all you're right; it's better than nothing. Just wish their shipping wasn't that expensive.

For me, since the purchase price is in US and i am in Australia the total price was actually less than i would pay for the tokyo pop book + the petroel to get me to my comic store :P so it worked out better for me.

In my other post, another journal friend suggested Tokyo pop is planning on releasing it next summer, (i assume US summer) but thats still bloody aaaages away!

Personal I don't mind waiting as long as I know the publisher really will finish the series in a country. :-)

Have you heared something new about Gaiden yet? There were rumors that tp also wanna publish this series, but I haven't heared something new about it for quite a while.
