Hi guys, these are the instructions for the WE LOVE MINEKURA project for windows users for how to record MP3's.
Come Take a look and please feel free to ask me any questions!
How to record MP3’s (windows)(mac to come later)
Download this free software first, http://www.mp3mymp3.com/
Firstly: All Laptops (after 2003) come with inbuilt microphones but if you have a PC and don’t have a microphone / headset you would be able to get one from your local computer or technology store.
Once the software has downloaded, install it by clicking on the .exe or application file. The place it downloads will vary on computer to computer due to your personal settings.
When starting the installation this window may pop up, (likely for windows vista and windows 7) please select run, so you can continue the installation. NOTE: on some vista computers there is a security question that will ask if you if you authorise what is being done, it is usually yellow, if that pops up say yes as well.

(Above) This is the first screen you will see, immediately click next to continue the installation. (Below) you will need to choose the location for program to install, as it selects program folder by default there is not a huge need to change it.

(Above) you can name the folder, again there isn’t a reason to change it from default, but if you’d rather call it something more meaningful then this is how. (Below) this is the option to create a desktop shortcut, its unselected by default so if you want to have the program easily accessible tick the box next to create desktop icon.

(Above) to be able to install this program (as it is free) you have to agree to the terms and conditions, its mainly discussing fair use policy and advising not to make money using this product, as its free, we won’t be doing anything bad with it so feel safe to agree and then click next. (Below) on the this next page immediately click install to start the installation.

(Above) Yay it’s done, before this screen there is a survey can or cannot answer, it doesn’t ask for personal information but if you want to skip it you can.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To start using the software click on the shortcut on your desktop or go to
Start > All Programs >MP3 MY MP3
Once the application lunches it will prompt you where you will like to save your recorded files, choose the folder from the list or create a new one by clicking the make new folder button, once you have selected a save location click ok.
It should now look like this. Ignore the appearance options as that just changes the skin on the application, above you will see a few other options mainly the ‘Record’ option.
Click on Record and the interface will change to this, (below).
To start recording click the giant red button slightly off centre, (above.) To pause recording (e.g take a breath drink some water.) Click the pause button ‘II’ next to record, and to finish your recording click the stop button ‘square’, and it will save your file.
The file will then appear in green in the big black portion of the window with the duration and date of recording, if you double click it you can listen to your message, there is also a play button, right at the top next to the master volume. On the left hand side it allows you to clear, delete or copy the files you have recorded.
(below) To rename a file click on the ‘RENAME’ tab, select the file you want to rename, and then type in the rename box its new name, then select the ‘rename file’ button.
The program doesn’t come with an inbuilt editor so if you wish to edit sounds let me know and I’ll try and track down a free sound editor.
Enjoy using this program and post any questions or comments regarding this here, I’ll be checking this post often to assist with any questions.
