I'm not sure it's fair for me to ask for contributions because I want to get this goodies all on my own (trust me hehe) Um but if you want that lovely little Hakkai you drew me last time was cute :P you could do something like that again :P, (that said it might be more work than donating a contribution but yeah... hahaha i don't know how to say what i want to say except with the word "GAH!" If you want to i won't stop you :P it'll just go into the going mental in Japan fund hahaha XD but yeah please feel no pressure to do one or either. and hopefully this made sense hahaa ^^;)

Just now had the chance to download and watch. It was beautiful!! Loved the flashback at the beginning (I was hoping that particular scene would make it on screen in the OVA)! Every time I see Konzen's hands on the rope it makes me cringe; that would hurt sooo much. Kenren's death of course choked me up. And also just the subtle symbolism of Gojun dropping his sword so he could salute Ken; always liked that in the manga. So they've saved Tenpou's end for the next part. *tears* There are only 3 parts, yes?

Yeah the Kenren bit was very true to the manga, sad but also very good. sniffle. The 3rd one... i am not sure if i wanna watch it XD

The whole story is so sad. I don't think I will be able to handle seeing what happens to Tenpou, and then Konzen, and ultimately Goku (the poor little fellow) on screen, but I will watch it anyway! Can't wait for subbed versions of them all so I can make my mum watch!

I've enjoyed the OVA!!

And I'm still criyng....These OVA will kill me! ç_ç

In the 2nd OVA there's just one flashback, and it's one of my favourite scene: the dinner under the cherry trees *_* But the scene is too fast, it seem as the poetry of the entire moment is lost....maybe is because I don't understand their words, but I'm not satisfied about it. The rest of the OVA is good, BGM are awesome and the scene when Konzen jump from the stairs for rescue Goku is beautiful as it in the manga *_*
The character design is as the first OVA: I don't like at all those chins so pointed, and the faces are too big respect the entire heads....but some closeups are very good, and the entire scene of Kenren's death is drawn good (I like so much the way the hair are made)...Kenren!!! His death made me cry so much...and in the last will be the turn of both Tenpou and Konzen....the last OVA will be my death!

Yes, I liked it, despite the character design not always good (but we are used to see a bad character design ç_ç ) and some scenes too fast, it's always Saiyuki Gaiden, it's always the beautiful sweet and sad story we love so much <3

spoilers (in the unlikely event you haven't read Gaiden)

Not only Kenren, but Gojun (who I inexplicably like far more than is warranted by his minor supporting role)...

I know Gojun doesn't actually die at this particular point in the story, but...

I also feel sad for the Natakus, whose forms may be monstrous but whose intellect is unknown, poor things raised in that environment and dying in such violent and pointless ways. The one attacking Kenren is crying, perhaps not understanding why Kenren tried to kill him, or because of the pain of its wounds. I wonder if it might not have been a happy, peaceful creature if raised in a sunny field somewhere.

Wow, seeing the animated version sure is different. The scene in manga where Tenpou and Kenren died only left me with sad tingling in my chest. It evolved to teary eyes when I heard the drama CD, and now I was downright crying seeing it animated ;__;

I didn't even realize that Goujun actually fell afterwards when I read the manga lol

I cried with the manga more, but i think it'll be the last one that gets me all chocked as Tenpou HASN'T died yet! I was all ready for him to and he didn't so i found it a little climatic in that respect XD

Yeah Gojun lets himself fall to escape the rest of the beasts!

My birthday is actually on the 15th :P so when you posted its Yesterday XD I don't really need anything, I'd say an alts voucher but considering they moved to fucking RINGWOOD and they haven't got the manga section set up yet i would say thats pretty bloody useless!!! XD So if you really wanna get me something, maybe an Eb games or JB hi fi voucher, then when a new 3DS game comes out i can put it towards that :)

I downloaded this the day you posted it..but just didn't have the courage to watch it till today :/
I loved the way they opened with the flashback...and Kenren's death, as expected just about killed me..Tenpou held on though..but still, that smile through the crack in the door was so touching T_T and when Konzen said 'dakara da'...Oh I completely broke down :P
And OMG Gojun is so cool XD The fight with Kenren was amazing :D
