Had a slow day today which was nice. Had a late breaky and then an early lunch. Wondered around osaka station for a bit before my tour.

I was the only from my tour coming from Osaka so I had a private tour guide to take me to Kyoto (not that I needed one lolz) but she was really nice and we talked a lot and she will meet me back at Nara station to take me back to Osaka which will be good lol. Look at what she showed me, some Artwork of all Osakas Sister citys, and Camberra from Australia is one of them!

It's a one hour drive to Nara from Kyoto. Which is kinda weird since it's closer to Osaka (Nara) lol.

So now I'm on the bus and listening to the tour guide in one ear bang on about alcohol and have my music in the other year lol. There will be lots of photos today. Our first stop is Nara deer park!

Oh deer, (pardon the pun!) when I heard about deer park I expected a couple of deers. They're fucking everywhere man XD!!

I tried to feed them and instead they feed of my fucking skirt XD oh deer!!!! Ah well a bit of soap and water at the bathroom later. I did buy deer biscuits for them but when I tried to feed them they all came at me at once so I freaked out and threw the biccies at them and just feed one separately lol.

I am enjoying dango mmmm dango and yummy melon slurpie <3 yummy! I'd never had dango before but it's very very nice :) so that will keep me going before dinner.

The temple was amazing a giant bronze budha statue the largest on the whole world in the largest wooden building in the whole world! There was lots of other budhas with the main one maybe one of them was the goddess of mercy maybe.

At the next place we went to a shito shrine with 3000 lanterns. It's was alright not as special as the last two places but OMG OMG OMG OMG SNAKE!!!!!

I looove snakes and was born in the year of the snake so feel especially close to them hehehe this one was sooo cute! So unpoisoness too!! Which made a huge difference <3 I wanted to pick it up but the tour guide was freaked as she was lol. I hope seeing a snake there will be a good sign for me!

After that we went to a souvenir shop and I picked up some incense :)

They then dropped me at Nara station where my guide was waiting for me :) on the way back to namba station we talked and I showed her the photos of my trip so far she really enjoyed it :) after we got to namba we spilt up but she brought me this lovely usagi postcard set >_< cause I said I liked rabbits how nice is thaaat!!

I then ate my dinner which was amazing the tuna melted in my mouth (this is what tuna sashi should do just melt, if it isn't melting it's either not good quality or they cut it wrong!)

Oh man, I admit, I am a lot jealous! I would SOOOOOOOO love to see those temples and those Buddhas! But thanks so much for taking such great pics. Hey, be sure and get pics for me if you see any shrines to or statues of Kannon/Kanzeon! And I loved the pic of you with the deer statue - you look so happy, even if it does look like the deer is spitting water right at you! *lol*

I like snakes too - I've never been afraid of them. I got to help hold a 300 pound yellow python, among other things, when we had a snake show come for the kids in the summer reading program in my library. All the snakes he had were so cool, but the python was amazing. My brother's significant other had a ball python named "Pumpkin" (I guess because of his orangey color, plus the way they curl up in a ball.)

As always, your food pics made my stomach growl! That whole dinner looked fantastic, especially the sushi. I haven't had good sushi in SO long... *cries*

I've missed a few of your last posts, the Fuji ones, I think, but I will go back and look at them today or tomorrow. ♥

Of course i will take pics of Konzeon! I thought she might be there yesterday but waaah she wasnt it (he/she)!

I have held lots of snakes before and might get a pet one when i have my own home lol.

The sushi was gooood...

Well i look forward to your comments on the other posts :) - btw one person has received thier postcard have u received yours?

Ah okay! Today i picked up a Gojyo x Sanzo for u and (what looks like from the cover) a War Price (bugger his name as slipped my mind XD) and Konzen doujin total 660 yen. Honey comb will be 750ish yen. Want anything else? and do you want me to open the doujinshi and take photos for u?

Nah, you don't have to take pics, I can be surprised! The only other thing, that would be awesome, is if you see any little cheap "doo-dads" of Saiyuki, Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, or xxxHolic - especially pins or buttons, but also keyrings, little figures, magnets, anything like that... I love that stuff, especially the pins. I have a jeans jacket I embroidered that I already have one set of Saiyuki pins on, and would love to add more anime pins to it. (I'm such a big kid at heart.) And they'd be cheap to mail. Anything Gaiden, I ADORE.♥

There are no Saiyuki dodas ;P and if there are theyre mine so XD but theyres plenty bleach and Full Metal dodas any specific price range? Dodas can be expensive :P

These two (in the icon, one of the few icons I've ever made with text) are my favorite two in Bleach, Shunsui and Ukitake, but others would be fine, too. In FMA, I love Roy Mustang! Also Ed, Maes Hughes, Envy, Lust, Izumi, the Armstrongs... Anything xxxHolic, is cool, too.

As far as $$, I don't know how much I owe you already for the dj's and how much the postage is going to run...so I don't know how much money is left in my budget for you to still spend. I would like to keep the whole thing around maybe $35 US dollars? Can you do that? If that means you have to stop with what you have now, that's fine. Just do what you can. Anything you get will be more than I have now!! ^_______^

And my postcard came this morning, balls and all!! ^____^
Sankyuu!!! I love it!! ♥♥♥

If you see some pins that are only $5 or so (I have no idea how that translates to yen!) go ahead. I can wheedle another five bucks if I have to. Otherwise, I'll be happy with what you have - I haven't had a new DJ in four years!

OOOOooooh! Look at the cute little snakey!!!!

Here's a short web reference on them:

http://homepage3.nifty.com/japrep/snake/ejaphebi.htm

Iwasaki's slug snake, maybe?

If by some long boat ride I ever go to Nara I'm definitely going to have to see the Daibutsu!

That rafters on that gate seem like they ought to be perched with (beneficial) youkai like pigeons on a telephone wire.

So I've heard.

Here in the US we have only 2 categories of poisonous snake--pit vipers and coral snakes.

The former have many varieties, all of which have very similar head-shapes, keeled scales (unlike almost all our harmless snakes except hog-nosed), IR pits on their faces between their eyes and noses, and most of which have rattles on their tails. They have cytotoxic venom delivered from hollow fangs near the front of the mouth that tends to be locally destructive to tissue and thus results in crippling injury, but rarely kills people. In addition, most bites are dry, so on a yearly basis few people die.

The latter are brightly-colored relatives of the cobra and have two species with very limited ranges, along the Arizona/California border, and in Florida. They are small snakes topping out at about 2 feet long, with grooved posterior fangs and neuro-toxic venom that causes less local tissue damage than the pit-vipers, but is more likely to kill you if you are dosed with it. However the small size of the snake and posterior fangs mean most of these bites also fail to inject venom.

If you know this much, you can easily avoid the dangerously poisonous native snakes in the US (there are a couple with venom about as dangerous as a honeybee sting). If its not one of these few toxic snakes, then it's non-toxic. But it could still be a nasty, bacteria-mouthed biter, so best to admire without touching.

I have a perverse desire to come up with a bunch of stuffed-animal youkai and a reaaaallly-long one of those poles with grippy things on the end, and perch a bunch of appropriate protective stuffed 'youkai' on that gate some night.

But I don't think that kind of prank would appeal to the Japanese sense of humor.
