Japan Trip 2 Day 15

Today was a very mixed day. For the last few days I've had my ladies time of the month which shouldn't occur because I am on the pill but her doctor warned me and said sometimes it'll force itself so today I had to buy Japanese pads as my emergency supply had about run out (I bet it'll go away now thou lol)

On the way to Kyoto i got to take the photo of the chocolate bar shaped building for you guys, please enjoy!



My day started in Kyoto animate where I brought 3 wild adapters in the hope of getting another set of saiyuki bookmarks but I didn't get any ah well I'll try again at another place lol. I also brought a folder with negima characters for a friend and the darker than black manga I misses last time.

I then headed back to Osaka to go to the Umeda mandrake, and got lost what really bugged me if when I had walked and walked and walked around in a fucking giant circle found an animate and when two girls walked out of it I asked them in English did they know mandrake and they kindly took me there! I had looked down the very ally I was in and though nah not that way - fuck XD the girls were nice though and they asked me about anime in Australia and we chatted their English wasn't good but between them and my shitty bit of Japanese we managed it was very nice! The kindness of strangers!

After mandrake i headed back and made a quick stop to the net cafe to get the written address of the other mandrake so I could get a taxi from the station (my ankles not happy today!)


So of I went and the taxi found it - just and then I went inside and had a lovely time picking saiyuki, minekura and general goodies! Before i went in though i did spot something rather amusing.

I hope that also for the release of Gaiden OVA they will create a special action figure just the one for Burial! And you got Stigma! The Japanese manga is beautiful, all coloured pages! Aaaaaiiiieeee!!!! You are killing me, with all the fantastic stuff you are picking up over there! And if you meant me about the Sanzo figure, you were right. I've wanted one of those for SO long, but every time I've seen them online (the few times I've seen them) they were so outrageously expensive. I'm glad for you, that you got one, though.

That building looked like it should smell like chocolate! And those sparkly cars were amazing. You've made me want sushi so much, I tried to get the hubs to pick some up on his way home from work, but he told me last night the place he normally gets it has gone out of business! *cries* No sushi for hg! I'm just going to have to make a special trip somewhere to get some, one of these days soon.

Im sorry to hear ur local place closed down! that sucks! especially after u worked so hard to get hubs to pick it up for you! I hope u find another place thats close to get it! in australia sushi places are common :) so we can get them anywhere.

I was looking at eBay today - Saiyuki stuff has gone out of sight, pricewise. You know that Sanzo statue that lights up? Someone had one of those on there for FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! Aaaaiiieee!! Guess there's no way in hell I'll ever have one of those. :( Even a little Sanzo bracelet and bromide card I have that used, it to be about ten bucks, was on there for $50!

We got our sushi from a gourmet market with a good seafood department - they have a Japanese guy that makes sushi for them and brings it in. The store just moved to the other side of town, so I will just have to make a special trip. My favorite Japanese restaurant in town closed down. That did make me sad, I loved going there.

aww thats sucks balls (really need to get off the computer but i cant move lolz) The figure that i have is the one that lights up! thats why i brought it it was soooo cheap!! the actual selling price was originally 6010 yen (70USD) people mark up anime/saiyuki goods so bloody much its bloody bullshit!!

Can't believe you found him and at that price no less!!! Please let me know where you got him from and if there is any way one can order or something from where you got him. If there is nothing like an ordering place or what not, is it okay that I could speak to my sis to see if we can do something in which you can get us one and we'll pay you for both the statue and shipping to the US. (Of course I'll see if we're able to first though, and if you can too...no pressure). *still shocked*

The place i got him from is called Mandrake. but, they deal in second hand stuff. this was the only one they had i was surprised when i asked for a saiyuki figure they didnt just laugh at me like they usually do XD

If i see another one ill let you know but they are rather rare so i wouldnt hold your breath. - sorry XD

Unexpectedly, It's like the Saiyuki figurine I most want<3..I had to buy my Volks Hakkai with Hakuryuu for 70 which was down from 100 cos' it never sold..By the time I got it the Sanzo and Goku ones were gone but attiqah_gensui was annoyed I left her Gojyo instead of Hakkai..but I could'nt leave Hakuryuu there when I was eyeing that figurine for a year..

I have 2 versions of that Hakkai one but arent interested in the others (got the sanzo one because of how rare it was, i iz collector) but if i came across that Hakkai one i would buy it again LOL!

Yeah I had to get Hakkai cos' Sanzo was gone when I came for it...I wanted Sanzo but was not happy with that sculpt..I think in that case Hakkai was better.
